Homerton Hospital
We have recently undertaken condition and critical airflow surveys in all bathroom and toilet areas of the hospital, based on extract ducted systems we were employed to ensure that the systems were in a suitable hygienic condition and if they were meeting the HTM 2025 requirement on airchange rates of 6-10 aca. After the initial survey and airflow test readings some ducted system were cleaned as they were found to be highly contaminated. An additional issue with MRSA prevention was also one of the requirements. At the end of the project reports detailing all works carried out were issued.
Lewisham NHS trust
(back to top menu)The trust recently awarded us with a contract to carry out scored and weighted risk assessment on all operating theatre plant and critical airflow testing. Working in conjunction with the estates department we were able to demonstrate if the theatres were performing to the HTM regulations and infection control specifications. We did find a problem with airchange rates and identified the area and increased the ac rates from 12aca to 25 aca by getting a fresh air inlet cleaned. Scheduled maintenance of these areas is required to ensure good conditions.
Wexham Park Hospital
The trust has recently opened a new theatre suite 12-14 months ago, we have recently completed a scored and weighted risk assessment of all plant and ducted systems along with critical air flow testing of the theatre environment.
Virgin Mobile
(back to top menu)Virgin mobile recently appointed us to oversee the hygienic cleaning of the ducted systems within a call centre. With the ductwork being cleaned by a specialist contract visits undertake by us ensure the cleaning was to the required standard and independently monitored, a verification report was issued to Virgin upon completion of the contract.

Occupation hygiene is important in the industrial market place, and in the hi tech environment formula 1 we were pleased to able to help Mclaren monitor for toxic substances and ensure they were not exposing there technicians to anything above any OEL.
Kings College Hospital
(back to top menu)Artic Building services have involved our services at a major London hospital, we monitored and policed the hygienic cleaning of all main theatre plant and associated ducted system serving 10 operating theatres. Critical airflow testing and differential pressure testing was also performed to ensure that the theatres performance was within the HTM 2025 regulations, carried out over a 4 week period electronic reports with photographic evidence and test reports on the airflows were submitted within 48 hours of the work being carried out.
WWW Success
After the launch of our web site www.airisq.co.uk we have had success in generating business from this area, generally used by clients for researching ventilation hygiene we have gained notable business from this. The most recent from Great Ormond St Hospital who wanted a fully independent consultancy to validate newly installed ducted system using the VT method as stated in TR17 and the newly published TR19. This was done and all results were issued electronically within a 5 day period of site works.

We are now pleased offer our successful scored and weighted risk assessment in a new improved number format detailing and highlighting any problem areas within the air handling system, using the numerical point system linked to actions this system advises clients to actions required.
